The Unforgettable Night of 2006.

Yesterday was my BBQ birthday, and before I begin this special blog post, I would like to say sorry to those who were uninvited because it exceeds the amount of people. I hope to gain your understanding.

P.S: The amount of photos taken was a whopping 161 pictures!

For these past few days, it has been POURING cats and dogs, and I certainly hoped that it wouldn't happen on my day. My worst fears were confirmed.

Khai Theng, Liang Zhi, Guan Jie and I went to Pasir Ris Park earlier because we need to carry the things over. (Thank you guys!) And it was still drizzling.

And finally it stopped and people went to Downtown East to play while others were cycling etc.

My family came and helped to set up the fire and pass us the food. (Thanks!)

And it started...

Friends were helping and it was time to cook!

Hehe..

What's with that flame?

Everyone chatted ate and drank happily.

And I had a visitor who wanted to came:

This ginger cat kept coming to our pit, probably wanted some food.

When Wei Chong and the others carried it to some far places, it still managed to come back and look for us.

Then, people were camwhoring with my camera.

Here are some pictures:

Act cute!

What kind of pose is that?

Mrs Yap being the police and we as criminals surrender. Hah!

Brokeback mountain?

Also another one!

Another one.

And my turn to Brokeback! Haha!

He squeezed my fats!

Basketball fanatics.

And there's something intriguing. Experts and scientists are unable to explain the following phenomenon. There's something fishy about this, and we believe we captured a ghost:

Hahahahahahahahaha!

Actually it's not a ghost. It was Wei Chong jumping up and when he starts landing, my camera flashed and it showed Wei Chong's figure. Hehehe.. So it's not a ghost!

Mrs Yap and Zi Cai left early. And when I sent them down the pathway, I teared a little, because of the memories I had with them. I told them I will not forget them and we will keep in touch.

And Mrs Yap, sorry for not having enough food for your taste. I'm still feeling guilty about it. Sorry!

And it was back to playing and cooking. At around 11pm+, some of them needed to went back home. I told each and everyone of them my feelings. And to fulfill my last wish.

And that last wish was to sing Emil Chau's song, Friends. Then, they all surrounded me and sang the song. That situation was so unbearable. Memories immediately flashed through my mind, and I got too emotional and broke down. Thank you guys for fulfilling my wish.

*I can't go on typing the situation. I think I'm going to cry soon. I'm getting so emotional!*

So anyway, here are the pictures I've taken:

MY PERSONAL MESSAGE

To be perfectly honest, I don't really wish to make my birthday look "grand", but I feel that the birthday BBQ serves as a last gathering for us. Everyone will lead their own paths, finding work etc. Regardless of which institutions we're going or even retain, we must keep in contact okay? I really hope you all have a great time yesterday. I will treasure during these years of friendship and will not forget any single one of you.

Being in NA, some people despise us. But if we believe in ourselves, just like Mrs Yap believes in us, we will soar to the greatest heights ever. During these 5 years, we had many memories that cannot be forgotten.

To 5N1: I am not in the class, but I am pretty close to many of you. I really treasures the friendship we had throughout these years. I will never forget anyone of you.

To 5N2: Throughout these 3 years, you guys had given me memories. Being a vice-chairman is a challenge, and I'm glad I succeeded. I will miss everyone, especially people close to me. I will never forget anyone of you.

This is just a brief message, and I will blog more specifically in some other time. But I feel that regardless of what, both classes during these 5 years will always remain in a special place in my heart. I really thank God for giving me such wonderful friends and teachers, and if God really wants me to leave this dimension at this time, I have no regrets. I have everything: Good friends, good teachers and a good family.

Once again, I thank those who were invited and came. And I thank you for making this event as one of the most memorable events during my 17 years of existence in Earth.

Thank you. - James

Full of regrets.

So upset and full of regrets.

Turn back time. Please.

I'm willing to make all the changes again.

I'm sick of myself, my body, my weight, my face condition.

Just teleport me back to the past.

Or perhaps, gravity will help to end it.

(Just let me rant please, I'm not feeling very good about myself. And it's not the 'O' levels that's affecting me.)

2 papers finished. 2 more left.

Geography MCQ: I think I did pretty well, since there are few repeated questions from the past few years papers. Ha, I think my overall Geography can score at least a B4!

Elective History: This paper is extremely special. To be honest, I feel that the source-based questions were pretty easy, while Structured-Essay was a little tough. I feel that I can get at least a B3 for this one!

2 more papers left to go: D&T and Science MCQ

I sincerely hope that history will repeat itself.

Despicable bastards. I hope you guys rot in hell.

It's all about the conflict in Darfur, Sudanese yada yada. It aroused interest in me because I had this conflict as a source-based section for Social Studies.

And guess what, The Janjaweed which is the Arab Militia aligned with the Sudanese have use a new method as a weapon of war.

No, not some poisonous gas nor some grenades or guns.

It's

RAPE!

I can't believe they use rape as a method to ethnically cleanse Darfur and other sections, according to NBC news.

One rape victim told the reporter about her encounter with one man. One of the things the man said "You are black. You have no place here. We will push you out of here. This land will remain for us." And the son of a bitch proceeded to rape her.

I seriously can't believe all these things are happening in the 21st century.

For God's sake, can some organisations do something to help these people?

Ending soon of 'O' levels, and many thanks.

'O' levels are approaching to its end, and there are many people that helped me throughout this rocky road. I would like to express my gratitude to these people for at least forking out time for me.

Teachers: Mrs Yap, Mr Desmond Chan, Mr Malvin Lim, Mdm Yao, Mr William Goh, Mrs Corrinne Teo, Mr Devan, Mr Tsung.

Students: Zi Cai and Long Wen. And also, people who have gave me morale support and encouragement throughout these months.

So grateful, too many people to thank.

Sorry if I forget anyones' name!

Gosh I can't wait to go diving!

Finished papers

Well, finished some papers..

English Paper; everything is alright, but for composition, I didn't had the time to develop the story well enough... but still hopes I can get an A2.

Geography Paper; pretty alright, B4 and above should be possible..

Physics Paper; was a killer, it was mainly on theory..

Maths Paper 2: Feels that I can pass, it gives me a shimmering hope.

Bored Birthday.

Received presents by XiBoon, Victoria, Clarence, Liang Zhi and Yingying! A waist pouch was given, and I simply love it! Next time, I can use it and put my handphone and other stuff..
And another one was a ceramic mug with Chinese printings on it. It's very nice. Still thinking if I should use it and brew tea for my study nights.. Mm..

Come to think of it, it's a really pathetic to have to spend my birthday studying for tomorrow's English and Physic papers.

Thanks to those people who wished me, really appreciates it.

And now, my birthday wish is to get a distinction for tomorrow's English paper, and hope my other subjects will do well. I also wish my friends will do well for their 'O's.

Speaking of 'O's, I had my papers today and yesterday.

Well, the Maths Paper 1 proved to be a challenge for me, but I have the confidence I will pass. Social Studies paper seemed perfect; techniques were correctly used, structured-essay question was spot on which was Merger and Separation which I chose. And to add some joy, today's Chemistry paper was easier than expected, which means I can pass.

I don't expect myself to score for Maths and Science, but I do hope they will pass.

Hope my birthday wish will be fulfilled.

Sigh, going to spend my birthday burying into books now. :(

Good luck to everyone taking their 'O' levels.

Extracted from: 'Bridge over troubled water'

Your time has come to shine, all your dreams are on their way.

Yeah, it's time for us to shine, so let's do our best, with no regrets for 'O' levels

Best wishes people.

Peace, don.

Full force. May ran out of fuel.

Mother Tongue exam was pretty okay...Getting a distinction shouldn't be a problem, considering the performance I've done and that most of the A1s and A2s people do not take the Oct paper..

I set my priorities and that I'm going full force, but may ran out of fuel. I'm way way way too tired. Many help were given to me, as I requested. Thank you guys for fulfilling my requests.

A private teacher who I consulted told me that all I need is confidence, to perform to my very best for English. I guess I have to tell myself that.

May God let me pass this one well.

And of course, those who takes 'O' levels.

Internet finally reconnects.

Sorry readers, my internet was disconnected weeks ago and couldn't blog. Many things has happened in school.

For my prelim results: L1R4= 23.

As for Science Practical, I nearly screwed up for Physics but fortunately, God helped me to tide over it. As for Chemistry, everything went smoothly except that I wrote Copper(II) Chloride. It was correct, except that being a smart-alec, I cancelled it and wrote Lead(II) Chloride. Oh well.

During the study breaks, almost all the teachers gave us remedials which interrupted many of our schedules, including mine. That's okay, because it was meant to be beneficial. However, some teachers were no-show (but valid reasons.) What was really infuriating that it was CANCELLED, and NOT POSTPONED.

Sigh. What's even more depressing is that about my English getting a distinction. Confidence is r unning low. Sure, I may not be as good as the others, but I aim for it. My actions speak for my words. However, I wonder if it is a misunderstanding or what, but I had some previous incidents with my teacher, and my instinct told me that he is not interested in helping me achieve my goal. I told some of my friends about it, and they agree with me based on the incidents I told them.

(And if the teacher is reading this, please understand that I judge is based on the incidents I've encountered, and no hard feelings.)

I really don't know what to do. I just hope God helps me to pull through this crucial one.

Vulnerable.

Over the past few days, got back some papers, which I felt was pretty average. I haven't got back all the papers, but hopefully soon.

Many encouraging comments from people which I felt was thoughtful. But one slight insensitive comment could crumble me.

I guess the only thing now to restore my confidence and motivation is to do well for my 'O' level Maths June Paper 2006.

As for my class, I think generally speaking, the last thing on my classmates mind is probably desperation to do well for 'O' levels. They could be so happy in the midst of such critical period.
Speechless.

Starting from tomorrow onwards.

I've straightened out my thoughts and decide that regardless of what happens tomorrow of the prelims, I will take it to my stride and work hard no matter what. I will make an effort to re-plan and abolish the current plan which I had 3- weeks ago. The current one wasn't very good.

I'll plan according to my weakest subjects and my forte. Work on weakest subjects to get at least a pass, and distinction for my forte.

Thanks for the encouragement people, as over the weekend I talked to a friend called Joey. Logics and reasoning made me think. So I've straightened out my thoughts and will do my best for 'O' levels.

For those who're taking 'N' and 'O' levels, let's do our best! And not forgetting my JC peers, Joel, Kaibin and ShengJun, let's all mug for our 'N', 'O' and 'A' levels!!!

I'm going to return my prayer today with my mom in the Waterloo street temple. Speaking of prayers, I still remembered an important advice which was given to me by God when I was drawing lots of my direction of life months ago.

He gave me this advice:

"Success can only be achieved through unfailing efforts."

I heeded his advice and worked on it. Through it wasn't fruit-bearing in the prelims, I would like to think that success will come during my 'O' levels.

Also, it's Childrens' Day today and I got my very own practical present. Haha, thanks alot teacher! (Wonders if I can reveal his/her name.) Ah never mind, you know who you are, and thanks alot teacher!
