Last day and the gathering with Avida Logistics.

Avida Logistics is the company that I worked for. I enjoyed having great colleauges and company with them. And I thank them for that. They are generous and exceptionally kind people with a good sense of humour. Yesterday, we had a gathering for Avida Logistics. We celebrated at..

Pariss Restaurant.

They were kind enough to treat my brother and me. And we begin eating and eating. And we kept talking and laughing, I forget to take pictures.

But here's one.

There were an incredibly wide amount of food, from prawns, abalones, shark's fin to crocodiles, crayfish and other seafood. There was even a chocolate fountain where you can dip marshmallows into the fountain. Food were superb.

This is the first time I went to such a sumptuous buffet with lots of choices.

Food! Food!

Geez, I'm so hungry now..

And we had lots of laughter and fun.

As for today, it was the last day for me and my brother..

A message to Avida Logistics: My brother and I would like to thank everyone who took good care of us. You all are very nice people. We thank you for your generosity and magnaminity. We hope to see you again soon, and hope we will and keep in touch!

Here are the pictures that we took: (Angie excluded, because she doesn't take photos)

Frankie and me.

Simon and me.

Alvin and me.

Uncle Zi Wei and me, who's also my relative and boss.

Me, Wong and Kelvin.

Speaking of Wong, if you meets him in person, I bet you will say he looks like Batista. He really resembles him.

And this is the picture you want, Angie! It's abit blur..

I end this post by wishing Avida Logistics all the best. Good luck guys!

It's Christmas!

Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas! It's a wonderful holiday with some gaieties!

It's a great day.

In the afternoon, my aunt was treating us to a dim sum restaurant at Tampines. The price was exorbitant, but the food was pretty good.

And in the night, I was attending Azli's wedding dinner. Who's Azli? Well, he's a colleague at my company and I've known him for around 2 weeks. And he invited my brother and me for his wedding dinner! Cool right? Azli married a chinese bride, which I felt it was awesome. For this is the first time I went to such a wedding dinner! And the venue was held at The Neptune, which was coincidentally the very same place where my parents held their wedding dinner!
And I really respect him. He said that the most important thing in the world is to respect one's parents. Whenever he goes into a relationship, he always told his girlfriend that if she wants to think far, his mother must move in with them if they were to get married and bought a new house. Actually, he wanted a simple wedding. But his late father wanted an extravagant wedding, so Azli decided to fulfil his wish.

Anyway, I met my colleague at my block.

A colleague called Alvin gave us a ride to the venue.

And we finally reached there!

Pretty huge!

The dinner started at 9pm.

Welcoming the bride glamourously on the red carpet.

Guests enjoying the show.

Whoa!

We were served with tasty food. With my not-so-ravenous appetite, I ate only a little, but drank lots of coke.

After a short while..

Friends and families were invited to go on stage for the Chinese traditional wedding YAM-SENG.

Unfortunately, the lively atmosphere wasn't there, probably because the Malays weren't used to such things like YAM-SENG.

After that, we were entertained with dancing shows. The caucasians wore nice costumes. And the babes wore shimmering silver and glamourous gold sparkling lingerie. I was absolutely dazzled, forgetting to eat the chicken that was placed on my table. Wow!

After the show, the wedding dinner was over.

For Christmas, I received a Christmas Card by snail mail from Xiaomin, and my aunt gave me SK II Facial Treatment Cleanser. Wait! Before you think that was for females only, it's NOT! My aunt gave me a sample and told me that her friend used it and found it effective for her pimples. So I used it, and it was working fine, and so she bought for me. As for my brother, she bought him a Nokia 3230 while trading my brother's Nokia 6230 for it.

And, I received a surprise for Christmas as well! This caucasian messaged me in Friendster, saying that I was hot. Gosh! I didn't realise that not only people told me I was cute and handsome, I was also hot! I didn't know I attract girls from the West.

While I gloats in self-satisfaction, I must say that the girl is pretty above-average looking. I've provided a screenshot, just in case you doesn't believe me. And the link there, it shows her pictures from her webcam.

Before I end this note, Merry Christmas to everyone!

Gosh, it's Christmas and I'm loving it!

'N' level results revealed.

I woke up early today because I couldn't sleep. Too anxious. I met up with some of my friends for lunch before taking our results slip.

Before taking my results, I had seen some girls crying when they took their result slips. This made me feel even worried. My face was pale and my legs were wobbly.

And I walked up to my form and co-form teachers. And they gave me back my result slip.

The first thing that comes to your mind is: How's your result?

Well, here it is.

I achieved 4 A2, 1 B3, and 2 B4.

My mood was mixed. I was both exhilarated and sad.

I'm sad that I didn't get A1 for English, though Mr Malvin Lim told me that only 3 of the students got A2 and no one got A1. I worked and focus hard for my English but I still got A2.

Exhilarated! Why? My MATHEMATICS GOT A B4!

Its:

B4!

Fine, maybe to some, B4 is lousy grade or whatsoever. But for my case, I worked so hard for my Maths, my good friends taught me and Mrs Yap too. I'm so proud of myself. But I constantly remind myself that complacency is not an option.

Still, I would like to thank my friends who taught me Maths especially

JUSTIN WONG ZI CAI
CHAN LONG WEN

and these two teachers

MR MALVIN LIM CHEONG BENG
MRS YAP EE CHING

Teachers and friends who had high expectations of me, I'm glad I didn't let you down.

Also, those who wished me luck and greetings, thanks a million!

I finally knows my strengths are languages and humanities. I will 'polish' them well.

As for other subjects, like Maths, Science and D&T, believe me teachers, I WON'T LET YOU DOWN!

Lastly, congratulations to those who passed. As for those who failed, try again, and you will make it. Each of us possesses different fates and our paths are sometimes rocky. Every obstacle can be overcome. With that, I wish you all the best for your future endeavours, and I believe we will meet sooner or later. Good luck, buddies.

Peace, don.

It's a stressful weekend.

I'm going to meet my fate 2 days later. If my mind serves me right, the release of the 'N' level results is at 2pm.

It's really a stressful weekend. I'm extremely anxious about my results. Whether I will pass and proceed to Secondary 5, or fail my exams and repeat, or go straight to the Institute of Technical Education (ITE). A few days ago, I've received a letter from The Navy, asking me to join them. I blatantly refused, because I don't even know my results yet, and I doesn't want to go National Service (NS) yet. I also received a letter, stating that I did well for my studies and I received $150 voucher. Ah, what a nice feeling.

I will blog on Monday; when my results are released. No matter what the outcome is, I will accept it and will not have any regrets because I did my best. I believe those who feel scared are those who regret not studying well. Those who are feeling confident, I wish you well.

I shall recap my goals for the 'N' levels.

English----- A1
Chinese---- A2
Geography---- A2
Elementary Maths---- C5
Combined Humanities---- A2
Combined Science---- B3
Design and Technology---- A2

I really hope I can achieve these targets. With that, I wish everyone who are taking their 'N' level results well. Good luck everyone.

Exactly one week to 'N' level results.

It's exactly one week to the 'N' level results. And I'm extremely anxious. As doomsday comes nearer, I get butterflies in my stomach. That's why I try to indulge myself in work as much as possible.

No confidence? Not really, but as results are being moderated, and it's a national exam, you can't help but feel worried.

Oh well..

Stepping into the working world.

I've not been blogging for quite some time. The reason? I'm working. I've said to my friends before that I do not intend to work during the holidays. However, I had family and financial problems. Under such circumstances, I'm forced to work.

Some friends of mine are working too; Liang Zhi working as a banquet waiter, Joel working in Suntec, Guan Jie working in a factory at Kovan, etc.

For me, I'm working for my relative. The company deals with recording companies Sony BMG Music and Warner Music.

In the early morning, I do paperwork.
In the late morning, I begin packing albums from order lists to the drivers. And they will transport them to music stores like Sembawang Music, HMV Singapore etc.
In the afternoon, I will dismantle and opens up the shipment that arrives. By the end of the day, I will be dead tired because the tedious work.

That's all I can reveal. The others will remain confidential. If I let the cat out of the bag, I can land my company into hot water.

I will try and update my blog whenever I can. Peace out.

Celebrating my mom and aunt's birthday!

I really had great fun today. We were celebrating my mom's and aunt's birthday. Yeah, they were born on the same day!

Okay, we went to Sentosa by car, and we reached there by around 11am.

We bought the tickets and we went to the first tourist attraction.

THE BUTTERFLY PARK AND INSECT KINGDOM

Yeah, I was so excited! We went in, and were greeted with well-preserved butterflies. I'm amazed with their beautiful colours. Shimmering silver and glamourous gold. Don't believe me? Take a look at this:

Beautiful and flamboyant colours of butterflies.

or this:

One of the species of the Morpho butterflies.

And I went to an area where there are live butterflies! It's been such a long time since I went to the Butterfly Park. I went there, and was surrounded by LOTS and LOTS of butterflies! It was a nice and wonderful feeling, really. And these are some photos which I took and felt was nice. (They're not taken from any sites!)

I felt this picture was the nicest, so I put my web address and my name to prevent stealing of photos.

Another nice shot, but it was kinda blur though.

And we saw some interesting happenings!

A butterfly struggling out of its cacoon. (Did I spelt it right?)

A butterfly having its food.

A pair of butterflies mating.

And we also went to the Insect Kingdom, which had beetles, scorpions and other camouflaging insects.

A picture of the one of the many beetles that we saw.

After walking out, we went to take a ride. A gravity-defying ride.

THE CABLE CAR RIDE

Okay, cable cars are nothing new, so I'm not going to talk much.

Nevermind, now for the next attraction.

One of the newest attractions that Sentosa had introduced.

THE SENTOSA LUGE

We went to ride the go-cart! Nonono, not those that you play at Escape Theme Park. But rather, this:

A picture of me wearing the helmet.

Speaking of the helmet, it has a pungent smell. Yucks! Probably been worn by tons and tons of people who sweat. Eww...

The ride was nice, and easy to operate. The tracks was considerably short. Maybe because I didn't had enough fun.

But I viewed some nice scenery. Thanks to...:

...the toboggan!

You probably seen this only on snowy mountains. But you can ride it on sunny Singapore!

My brother and I, riding the toboggan.

It was a very nice and relaxing ride. But on the same time, I developed a phobia of dropping my camera. And the highest height between the toboggan and the ground was probably around 5-7 storeys high.

This picture should give you a rough idea on how high it is.

After the Sentosa Luge, we went to...

IMAGES OF SINGAPORE

Basically, it teaches you the history of Singapore.

The staff explaining to us about the different races during the olden days.

We were brought to a theatre and watch a 5 minutes video.

The theatre.

After that, we had to walk around and see wax figurines of the olden days. They were nicely well-done and put up. Great effort I'll say!

Living conditions of the coolies.

There were SO MANY things to see at the Images Of Singapore. They even put up festivals and wedding for tourists to see. From Hari Raya to Moon Cake Festival. From Indian wedding to Malay wedding, there's just too many things to see. If you do went there, I'm pretty sure you will be impressed!

After that, we went to the MUCH-ANTICIPATED, MUCH-AWAITED..

THE UNDERWATER WORLD

Okay, maybe I'm the only one who was so excited about the tourist attraction. I simply love it!

We reached the main entrance, was greeted with this:

A marine diver wiping the glass tank.

Seriously, that's one of the jobs I aspire to achieve, a marine diver at the Underwater World, besides being a marine biologist and an icthyologist.

I love fishes. Because I'm amazed from the wonders of the ocean, how beautiful Mother Nature can be.

Anyway, I saw beautiful jellyfishes and I took a very nice shot of them:

After that, we went into the 83 metre long tunnel. And here are some of the sea creatures we encountered and other fish tanks:

Some sharks cuddling together.

A humongous fish swmming by; probably a grouper.

The Japanese Giant Crab.

It's not a fish. It's a dugong!

After visiting the Underwater World, I was feeling sad to leave the place. And we went to....

FORT SILOSO

We went uphill slope, and were so tired. Nothing much at Fort Siloso, except for some history and some wax figurines yet again.

Here are 2 photos:

And last but not least, the final tourist attraction that we went to..

DOLPHIN LAGOON

We went there just in the nick of time to catch the show, and this is the first time that I've seen live dolphins!

The pink dolphins getting their snack.

A dolphin reaching for the ball.

A dolphin passing through the hulla-hoop.

Playing the hulla-hoop with her beak!

Taking the ball..

A Denmark tourist gets kissed by a pink dolphin.

Clap clap for my blog! Duh.

The pink dolphin waving her 'hands'.

Okay, thats all for today. I had lots and lots of fun. I'm convinced that at Sentosa, besides the beach, you need money to have fun. Today's trip probably costs more than 300 bucks. Anyway, please do not take and steal the pictures.

Last but not least, I would like to thank my brother for his wonderful Photoshopping skills and helping me out; very talented.

Okay, that's all folks! I'm so tired after loading the pictures and blogging. Have a great day!
