Two events today.

I'm extremely touched by our Choir juniors. They put up a wonderful farewell party although some parts of it were last minute.

Seniors waiting to be instructed when to go into the AVA room.

Well, each single one of us started to go inside the AVA room. And I received so much applause from the juniors and I gloated with glee.

The seniors then sit down with the juniors to watch a wonderful powerpoint. It showed the events that we took part in, and the pictures we took. And I realise that some of them were taken from my blog! Whoa, so honoured!

The juniors from each secondary level wrote down their thoughts and wishes for us with a large size of paper..

From the Secondary 1s..

From the Secondary 2s...

From the Secondary 3s...

All of them were so shy and embarassed...

The teachers and the senior leaders gave a thank-you speech to us, which I will never ever forget. I love you guys.

Then the cake was cut... Ah, what a wonderful event..

A very nicely decorated cake!

Sigh, I really missed all of you. I could still remember when I was being pulled to Choir during CCA fair at Sec 1 by Lynette. I was so intimidated by Mr Liew (at that time) that I came to Choir without fail. I braved the storms and shared joy together with Choir. It was my best CCA ever and I never regretted joining. Juniors, do us proud in next year's SYF. Get a gold. Or a Gold with Honours. It's good to be ambitious. It's good to aim high. As I leave this choir with fond memories, I hope all of you will listen to our CCA in charge teachers and our choir instructor, Mr Francis Liew. 10 years down the road, when someone asks me what is my CCA when I was in secondary, I will proudly say it is CHOIR. I love you juniors, Mr Liew, teacher-in-charge, choir peers and NV CHORALE.

*Shows my trademark move*

And thanks a million to the juniors for organising such a wonderful farewell party. I CERTAINLY LOVE IT. THANKS GUYS!

And it's Vincent's birthday too!

We helped him celebrate his birthday at Pizza hut.. Hah! Happy birthday buddy!

Today was such a memorable day..

Shocking Mid-Year exams.

Okay, I'l lbe honest. I'm so shocked with my results. All of them. And its worst. Whole class failed Maths, and I heard people from 5N1 mocking at us like "Wah, all of them can go ITE." Like I said, I believe in Karma. What comes around goes around. I would love to see who will have the last laugh.

I failed English Composition. The marker said I had weak facts etc. It was a major blow for me as I had so much confidence. But what was so infuriating was that I wrote the sentence "Do excogitate.", the marker (whoever is he/she) used his/her red pen and underlined the word excogitate and put down 2 question marks. HELLO? Assuming that you doesn't know the word 'excogitate', WOULD YOU PLEASE GO AND CHECK THE DICTIONARY?! I'm not trying to question your command of English, because it's impossible to learn all of the English words. But could YOU take the effort to check the dictionary? It's extremely irritating to see the words that I used in my composition which may be profound be underlined and put down 2 question marks. (I assume the marker doesn't know the meaning.) If Cambridge markers were like him/she, than we might as well don't learn new English words.

(I'm trying to show respect for the marker, so do pardon me if you feel offended by the criticism.)

Other subjects were shocking, so I wouldn't say them here.

Slackened.

Alright, been a while since I've blogged. Exams are over and some things had happened recently.

During Monday's Science Practical Exam, I cut my finger accidentally with a test tube. I was holding it when I slipped and it did a somer-sault, landing onto the table and shattered into smithereens. Of course, I was the centre of attraction. I saw one of the shattered pieces and tried to pick it up and throw it into the bin. But as fate would have it, the glass pierced right through my finger, and it bled profusely. I was then given medical attention. By the time my finger was bandaged, I wasted around 15-20 minutes. Sigh, probably fail my practical exam.

As for Mother's Day, I gave my mom a pair of earring and necklace, while my younger brother gave a treat to my mom at Pizza Hut. Then we went to a restaurant with my grandmother and relatives. A big feast, but not sumptuous. The shark's fin soup was bland, and the mee was like eating powdered cordyceps. I seriously wonder why couldn't they went to higher class restuarants such as Jumbo, when the bill came with a whopping $600! All for that mediocre food. Argh.

And a bad news. Heard that Clement was admitted into hospital. He was vomitting blood. I was like-- Oh my, how did that happened? Sigh, hopefully he's well. Hey Clement, rest well and feel handsome okay?

I am guessing we're getting our exam marks tomorrow. Wonder how I fare. Sigh!

Treasure what we have.

Finally, I could take a break. Been taking Design and Tech, Geography and Combined Science Paper1. Well, hopefully I can do well. The standard was pretty average.

Few days ago, I chanced upon a TV show called the Oprah when I was messing with the TV remote control. It was talking about an Afganistan who created schools for children so that they could learn. She defied those religious leaders and gave her own opinion. I was so touched. Then, it showed some children using some computers at one of the schools that she had built. And guess what? IT IS THE ONLY SCHOOL THAT HAS COMPUTER ACCESS IN WHOLE OF AFGHANISTAN.

I was shocked and felt it was time to ponder. The children thought computers wasn't a reality, and that they could only see computers in the movies. While it is almost common for every single child in Singapore to possess a computer, these children do not even dare to dream about having one. They even had 3 meals a day to worry about.

More than half of the world's population are in developing countries. In Singapore, although it's extremely hot, we are being protected from Nature's harm. Yes, like them we have problems to worry about. They worry about 3 meals a day. We worry about studies. But think about it. Whose problem is more serious?

I sometimes do believe in karma. Let us treasure what we have.

Election day.

It's Saturday.. There were lots of people in food courts, probably because of the Election. My parents went to vote and I stayed at home. This is the first time I've seen political parties going round and round our estates. Days ago, my dad and I went to eat at a coffeeshop and one of the parties went around shaking peoples' hands. They never shook mine. Nevertheless, they gave a leaflet to everyone sitting there. After that, they went away with their vehicle and waving to us.

Wonders who will win.. mmm..

Yesterday, I went to watch Mission Impossible 3 with some of my friends. A very nice and action-packed thriller. You guys should go and watch it.

It was also the day of the Mother-Tongue paper. For Chinese, it was average. Unfortunately, I didn't had enough time and had to rush through. Sigh, really hope I can get a distinction.

Gonna rest the whole day today without studying. But will do tomorrow..

Defeated.

I'm totally defeated by Mathematics Paper 2, despite studying and revising which didn't really come to naught. It suddenly makes me wonder if I will fail my 'O' level Maths or not. The Maths Paper 2 was difficult and I could only do some questions. My mind failed to provide me with the right formula and thinking at the right time. Still, I am HOPING AGAINST HOPE that I will pass my Mid-Year maths-- A miracle. I would be extremely contented if I get 1/3 of Maths Paper 2 which is around 30+ marks. Sigh.. My apologies to people who taught and coach me in Maths, especially Zi Cai and Mrs Yap Ee Ching. You 2 are the most important people that will determine if I will go to ITE, Poly or JC.

On a total irrelevant note, I was browsing Xiaxue's blog which she said about the poor service from one of the employees at Seoul Garden Bugis Junction. Which made me think about a bad attitude from a promoter. My face is suffering from acne. And it was mostly due to the cause of SilkPro's facial products. I spent around $80 for the products as the promoter sounds so convincing. I believe that I suffered a side effect that result in even more pimples and pus, which was like popping popcorns. My mom went to look for the person and she found her.

And do you know what the damned promoter said?

"Err, not everyone is suitable to use the products."

Upon hearing that, I secretly cursed the bloody promoter that she dies of maggots crawling out of her rotten face. Instead of sounding apologetic or do something, she gave a stupid comment, seemingly refusing to take blame or some responsibility for the condition of my face and instead blaming on MY GENES and FACE that I WAS NOT SUITABLE TO USE IT.

Argh, a good example to vent my anger.

Feeling very low and upset...

Gruelling week.

Finally finished Mathematics Paper 1, Chemistry, Pure Geography and Social Studies. All of which are major subjects.

MATHS PAPER 1

Questions being extremely hard around the back of the paper. Confident that I can pass it.
Now is the time to try and do my best for Paper 2.

CHEMISTRY

I couldn't do some of the questions. Still, I got the confidence of passing Chemistry. Alot of classmates refused to do the paper after browsing through. More than half of the given time to do Chemistry, they rather lie their heads down, refusing to attempt any of the questions. I admire their mentality.

PURE GEOGRAPHY PAPER 2

No problem attempting most of the questions, except that I spend too much time on one question. In the end, I did not have time to do a 7-mark question, which was to draw an aided diagram to explain how fold mountains are formed. Poor time management. Arghh..Hopefully can get a distinction with the help of Paper 1.

SOCIAL STUDIES

Amazingly, the topics that I spotted all came out for Mid-Year. Could do most of the questions, but I believe I left some points out.

I'm blogging for the sake of blogging. I'm going to revise as I have Maths Paper 2 tomorrow and Chinese paper the day after tomorrow. Than I will have a rest on the weekends before having exams resume on Monday. I would really want to pass my Maths... Sigh..

Let's all buck up!
