Hard work pays off.

I just came back from school at around 10+. And yes, I spent around 13 hours in school today. I was mentally tired. I spent 6 hours revising Maths and some sections of Geography with Longwen. He was patient and kind enough to teach me.


He went home after that while I went to Rivervale Plaza to have dinner with Jerry, Liang Zhi and Justin. We were having a conversation about the sense of urgency and the importance of 'N' levels. Justin was telling us that he would rely on English, Geography and History. And worse still, he was going to spend the rest of the weekend learning Geography etc. He was boasting how many marks he got for some subjects even though he claims he didn't study. Ironically, he didn't make it to 10 points though.


However, I slapped him with lecturing words and thoughtfully told him to go to the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) if he were to go by his plan. You see, he failed his Maths badly than me. And he didn't intend to revise or study Maths, he wanted to go Secondary 5. I told him, if he were to fail Maths in 'N' levels, it was nearly impossible to make it in Secondary 5. Besides, people such as Longwen and Zi Cai who are taking Express Elementary Maths are struggling, so can we make it? If he fail Maths, he can't go to a Polytechnic, much less a Junior College. So, the only choice was ITE right? If he fails Maths and went to Secondary 5, isn't it a waste of time and money? On that point, he was shocked by my words and reasoning, and he seems to have been "woken up from a coma"; he skipped the night class and went to his relative's house to study Maths. He must have excogitated about my words and decided to do something about it.

(Yes, you may say I am referring to myself, but I've "awoken from a coma long time ago".)


I went to study with Jerry and Zi Cai in the canteen. Zi Cai was patient enough to teach me Maths, and even gave me 2 papers to do. I had to do Serangoon Garden Secondary School Paper 1 within 1 hour and 30 minutes. I did my required work around 45-50 minutes. It was marked by Zi Cai. And guess what? I got 41/60!!! For once, I developed a sense of self-satisfaction and it certainly boost my confidence. I was contented if I got a passing mark. But this remarkable result made me realise that hard work pays off. And I didn't know what got over Zi Cai; he said I should aim an A and asked me to target 50/60.
I said it was ridiculous, but he said I could do it. Others asked me to stop looking lowly on myself.

(I didn't finished Paper 2 because I didn't have any graph papers. Zi Cai asked me to check the answers myself tomorrow and he will go through it.)

I decided to tell myself. Despite getting a desirable result, I will not fall into complacency. No matter what, I will continue to work hard. No matter what grade I get for 'N' levels, be it an A (which I thought it was nearly impossible.) or a failing grade (I seriously hope this will not happen.), I will not regret because I did my best to prove to the world and myself how high I can soar.


I seems to have wings. The feathers on my wings are like friends and teachers, who guide me and gave me motivation. Because without these feathers, I doubt I will be able to do it. These feathers and me will determine how high I will fly and soar in the eternal sky..

The reason why I will not be blogging daily till next week is pretty obvious; I'm having my examinations next week.


I'm very stressed up and is rushing against time. Yet, I'm flabbergasted and take my hats off to those who are still fooling around in my class. Wow.

It's going to be a very busy week for me. I have to do very serious revision before the official 'N' level begins. I'm having tuition from Maths prodigies namely Longwen and Zi Cai. Of course, I have remedials conducted by my fave Maths teacher, Mrs Yap. Me, arguably the weakest person in Sec 4NA, I'm glad that there are altruistic people who sacrificed their precious time for me.


I thank these people who were willing to help me. I express my utmost gratitude and will and always appreciate their pious effort.


I will work hard for my goals; I'm aiming for 5 points. There's only less than 5 days left. What's worrying me most is that I'm having Maths and Geography paper on the same day. I'm afraid I can't cope. But I must believe in myself.


With that, I wish all the Sec 4NA and 4NT all the best for their 'N' levels. For the Sec 4NAs, you must believe that 'N' levels is the most important examination in your teenage life. I hope that will drive you on.

Not forgetting the Sec 4E and Sec 5NA, I wish you all the best in your preliminary examinations.




Stick on to your motto. Persevere and you will succeed.

The secret!

I'm quite pissed off just now. My father ordered my brother and me to go to the carpark to get his cigarettes. We forgot to take his car keys and went back home. When we went back, he said I was blur enough. Yeah, he contradicted himself because he was the one who was blur. Eh, his car is parked at 6A. When we reach the carpark, we couldn't find any cigarettes. Instead he doubt our effiency of finding his cigarettes in the dead of the night. When we went back, he said his cigarettes was at my grandma's house which was a few blocks away. And yes, we had to get the cigarettes.

He is a selfish guy who is hooked into cigarettes to get pleasure from the smoke and could risk his sons' health and life by asking them to go to the carpark in the dead of the night and when they couldn't find it, he still asked them to go to their grandma's house to get it for him. (Okay, it's a long sentence. Slowly get into your brain and digest.)

Let's drop the topic. Like I said in my previous post, I was giving you guys a hint. Yeah, you guess it. YES! I BOUGHT A CAMERA! If you are an avid reader of my blog, you would know that I was saving up money for Canon A400. But my mom decided to fork out $200 for me first and I had to pay off by deducting from my pocket money.


We went to look around in Sim Lim Square. We browsed alot of shops before going to Alan Photo to buy it. (Need to check other places too.) But their prices were a rip-off. One shop sold us Canon A400+ 256 MB SD Card for a whopping $315! Such exorbitant prices, only idiots buy it from them.

We went inside to take a look and there were many people asking for enquiries. Yeah, we finally talk to a salesperson. I asked for Canon A400 but he said they doesn't have it anymore because Canon had stopped producing it. He introduced me the Canon A410. It is a predecessor of the Canon A400 and was considered new. Needless to say, it's much better than Canon A400. So he quoted us a price. $270 + a free 256 MB SD Card without 5% GST. (The SD card is not Kingston. It's Panasonic!) Oh my! How cheap it is! Even the lower quality of Canon A400, I had to fork around $263 and I had to buy another SD card too. It was a good deal. (Mind you, it is a new one.) And my mom, who was so great at haggling prices, slashed the price to $268+ 5% GST.


Not bad.. So he taught me how to use the camera generally. And other specifications of the camera, I will look it up in the manual. At last, I'm the proud owner of Canon A410!

Anyway, I really like this camera. If you were to buy cameras, do go Alan Photo located at Sim Lim Square in the ground floor. I recommend it. The staff is helpful and its prices are fair and reasonable. They doesn't cheat your money. (Well, for my case.)


Best of all, I could take good quality pictures for my blog.


I'm also looking forward for the graduation high tea and other events and outings! Yay!

My thoughts as a Vice-Chairman

I've been a Vice-Chairman since the beginning of 2005. However, I failed as a Vice-Chairman. I do not command respect in my peers, even worse, people even hate me.

Still, I have to describe some students of my class. Recalcitrant. Incorrigible. Let's take a student from my class for example, he repeatedly refused to sit despite many warnings but keep going out from the class. Or others, who went as a group to other classes to disturb people when the teacher is absent. I asked them to went back to class, but they refused and continued what they were doing.

I can't do anything to them. They probably listen to Maliha. But sometimes, Maliha can't stand them. We can't do much anyway.

I doubt the other classes have the same problem as ours.

So please, if you're a student reading this, put yourself in our shoes before you do anything.





Anyway, I intend to make notes of Elective History for 'N' levels for Chapter 1, 2, 4 and 5. However, I wouldn't be liable if anything goes wrong. I will not print for you, but send you in MSN Messenger.

It's around 1 week before 'N' level starts. I've been stressed out and very tired. Remedials given by Mrs Yap, Mrs Teo and Longwen. I can't let them down. It's N levels. I can do whatever I want after this period (Well, not really. Because we still have to go for lessons taught for 'O' levels.).

An unpleasant dream. A dream nobody wants.

Yesterday, I had a an unpleasant dream. A nightmare. I dreamt that my younger brother had bitten the dust, or missing. In the dream, I kept weeping and was inconsolable. I kept crying and felt miserable and terrible.

Suddenly, I woke up to dry my tears, then I went back to sleep. When I woke up again, I was very perturbed by the dream. Is this a bad omen? I have never lost any relatives before.

I kept thinking about the dream for the whole morning. I thought what will happen is someone or my brother had met with a mishap? I couldn't afford to lose someone. I guess I cannot take the blow. For now, all I can pray is that it is all a DREAM and it was just me being over-superstitious. Nothing else. Nothing else at all..............

I have said it in my previous posts about buying Canon A400. I did research and asked people in the forum. They said Alan Photo (One is in Sim Lim Square and Funan the IT mall.) was the best. They said they charge reasonable prices and have good service. I asked other shops dealing with Canon A400 and found that their price was much higher. I decided to email Alan Photo. This is what my enquiry and their reply:

Hmm, kinda reasonable. I decided to buy from Alan Photo. And the good news is, I may be able to get the camera next week! My mom had said she will pay for me first, but will deduct from my pocket money. Great! I'm looking forward to next week. If I were to get my camera by then, I blog all about it!

I'm sick.

It was a bad day for me. I felt so sick. Apparently, my sinus was working up. I had flu and running nose all the time. My eyes felt watery and Miss Chen asked me to go to the General Office to report sick so that I can go home and rest. But I refused, because I know it is just a common illness for me. Besides, I have to get a MC; I didn't knew I had to see a doctor. However, things worsened. I even fell on my way to the classroom. I spent more than 3 gruelling hours in classrooms, trying to concentrate and stay awake. I was on the verge of collapsing.

Also, I had an inflammation in my jaw. When I tried to move my jaw, there were Klick-Klack sounds being made, a sound similar when you break your bones. After school, I went for lunch and I couldn't open my mouth. It was too painful.

As a result, I called my mom to see my family doctor, whose clinic is at Tampines. I just came back and Dr Tan just prescribed some pills and said it wasn't serious.

As I'm writing, I feel groggy and tired. Guess I will have a good rest since I doesn't need to wake up early in the morning. Oh well.

I finally realise that money isn't easy to come by.

It's been a week since I started saving, and I've already saved up till $35 or so. I still need weeks or even months to save up till $320 for this is the first time that I wanted to buy something so expensive and have to save money for it. Unfortunately, this is not the case. I expect the price of the camera to plummet maybe a few or tens of dollars.

I did some calculations and realised that since I have $10 for pocket money per day, I would have to save $8 and spend the rest on food. All in all, by the end of October, I would have saved up $267 including the $35 that I've already saved.

Besides, its also killing two birds in one stone. I can save up money while losing weight. (I suppose so.)

I need to be penny-pinch. I have to be thrifty to buy the camera. I doesn't know when is the end-of-year holidays so I guess I gonna borrow some money from my brother.


Anyway, do anyone knows where can I purchase the camera at a low-price? Not second-hand though. Sim Lim Square seems to be the ideal mall. But there's so many shops, I can't possibly go every one that deals with cameras to ask. Any recommendations? It would be greatly appreciated.

That's it! I'm saving for Canon A400!

I excogitated, and decided that I doesn't want to buy Nokia N90 because the phone is too expensive. Rather, I'm going to save up for Canon A400; it wasn't an impromptu decision.

The Canon A400 is considered quite old since it came to the market around August 2004. I had consulted my a friend of mine, Kelvin, who was a professional photographer studying in Singapore Management University. I had asked him which camera is cheap and good; I'm a student, and he recommended Canon A400.

I decided do some research on the camera and found out that it had been given good reviews. Besides, I have a good computer and a Canon printer, so that should be a good combination right? However there were some problems like batteries dying out fast etc, but since I've got rechargable batteries, that shouldn't be a problem. Here are some pictures of Canon A400:

Perhaps, when you're reading this post, you may be asking 'But why do you need a camera?' Well, I'll answer it simply.

1. My family doesn't have a digital camera besides my paternal aunt. But her's cost more than $1000. Too expensive for me to handle.

2. For my birthday and the graduation high tea. I wouldn't want to regret not taking photos as many of my peers are leaving after 'N' levels and others who are graduating soon. I will miss them!

3. It's a good investment, I could use it for holidays and outings as well.

4. For my blog. My Nokia 6230 phone's camera is really bad. The quality is mediocre. So it's best for a digital camera.

5. Lastly, to feed my narcissism! Haha! Jokes aside, it's also a matter of time before we need a digital camera anyway.





I have decided to save up enough money for it. I've checked the price from the internet for Singapore. People said they bought the camera at Sim Lim Square for around $250-$280. I went to Hougang Mall's Harvey Norman just now to check about the price of the camera. To my surprise, they said it wasn't available! Maybe they considered it obsolete? Duh. I hope to buy it after the 'N' level examination finishes or around the holidays. I'm hoping the price will continue to plummet so I can buy it even cheaper. I'm going to save more than $300 (If I can) for a 256 SD MMC card to store photos.

Eventful Saturday.

Its Saturday and I had to go to Mrs Teo's chemistry lesson. Well, actually it's complusory. But many ingrates didn't appreciate so they didn't turned up. I learned quite alot of things today. Sometimes I pity Mrs Teo. She always seems to be making a fool of herself when incorrigibile students disrupts the class and she scolds them. After attending the lesson, a group of friends and me went to Hougang Mall to have lunch. I was eating tom yam soup. Oh my, its really delicious. The best I've ever eaten so far. Its at the 4th level food court. Go try it.

Anyway, after eating, they decided to play basketball. Clarence was telling Vincent and the others about reserved or something. I didn't know what the heck they were talking. Liang Zhi wanted me to go but I refused. In the end, I relented and went.

In the end, when we went there, they were ACTUALLY playing a match with outsiders. At first, I thought we were playing a match together, but I was wrong. Liang Zhi went to Justin's house for a ridiculously long period of time. After that, they started the match, so I was alone with other friends who came, watching the match (3 sets) under the scorching sun. I was intending to leave because I wasn't very interested. However, Yingying said she will return home after the match and asked me to wait. I felt the 3 sets were not time-consuming, so I waited while watching the match.

I wasn't in the best of mood but I watched the basketball match nevertheless. It was very intense. Because both teams were very close to winning the final set of the basketball match. In the end, our team won, thanks to the classical shot from Vincent. That shot destroyed the hopes of the other team of winning. Thus, winning the game. These are 2 pictures of the match:

A very intense match indeed. After the match, I wanted to go home. In the end, Yingying said she doesn't want to go home. What the hell? I waited for so long, yet she doesn't want to. I was irate with other happenings too. I took a bus together with Chee Wei, because he wanted to go to Tampines to retrieve back his Nokia phone, as it was faulty.



My mood was much better when my family friend had invited me to go to the neighbourhood to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. I was kinda happy because it's been quite a while since I celebrated. God, I love candles.. Messing with them and playing with fire. I started to think of childhood memories. My mom and Weiyan's mom was loquaciously talking away. Weiyan's father came down with his dog too. Well, his dog was a pure breed called Schnauzer. They named her Yuki. Here are some pictures:

Anyway, when we were about to leave which is around midnight, we witnessed a phenomenon. Apparently, the moon was full and bright. And guess what? Our naked eyes witnessed something that is probably clouds surrounding the moon like a ring. It was a perfect round and I had never seen anything like it before. It was certainly astonishing. Unfortunately, I wouldn't take the picture because it wasn't very visible. Besides, my Nokia 6230 camera phone doesn't even have 1 megapixels.. So it wasn't very clear. It was truly a great night.

I seems to be recovering from the outbreak of my pimples. I even jokingly said they looked like popcorns. Disgusting? Yes! I regretted. I regretted not taking care of my face. It goes like this:


Ever since I was in primary school, I felt I was fugly. Totally ugly. I refused to look in the mirror and buy attractive clothes. Hence, I had low self-esteem. I didn't bothered asking people how good-looking I am. I didn't care how I look and I continued to be voracious. In secondary, I didn't take care of my face at all. I continued having low self-esteem till Secondary 4.

However, thanks to Friendster, my low self-esteem increased; thanks to the testimonials. I don't wish to say anymore about testimonials. (If you say testimonials are meant for people to bootlick or something, you're probably someone who's pure sour grapes.)

Anyway, I didn't take good care of my pimples still, until an outbreak happened. Apparently, my case was considered acne. They were big and red. Some of my friends were concerned and said:

"James, why your cute face liddat? Last time so flawless, now so many pimples liao."
(Translated as "James, why is the cute face of yours full of pimples? Your face used to be flawless, but now there's so many pimples!)

and

"Wah seh! Your pimples so many... Very er xin leh."
(Translated as "Oh my, you have so many pimples! It's very disgusting!)



After excogitating, I decided to do something about my pimples. I tried Follow Me (Silkpro) facial products which I spent over a whopping $80! However, I always expect and preferred quality over quantity, but this wasn't the case. It worked against me. It made my acne condition even worse. Thus, I stopped using it. I contemplated consulting a dermatologist, but consulting one means the prices will be exorbitant. In the end, I decided to consult a doctor at a clinic in Compass Point near the bus interchange.

The female doctor pointed at my pimples, saying that it was considered serious and wanted to give me strong oral pills and cream. She wanted to give me something to cure my pimples, probably Accutane, and said I had to do a blood test because it have side effects. Sounds inane right? My mother refused it so my doctor prescribed antibiotics and a pimple gel.

The antibiotics were called DOXYLINE while the pimple gel was called Differin. Congruent to the one below:









It's been 3 weeks since I faithfully took the medicine. At first, the condition worsened because of the medicine. It has improved slightly and my pimples were no longer that big. I have to be patient. I probably had to get stocks for my medicine soon.

My friends told me some of the DON'T-DO things. I've done research and found out about it.

I write 2 of the myths here.


Do not eat oily food because it can make your face more oily.

Seriously, that's bullshit. There isn't scientific evidence to support this.


Acne is caused by poor hygiene and washing your face frequently will prevent it from happening.

Don't be gullible. Well, the fact is, if you wash your face too frequently, it will make the acne even worse! Just gently wash your face 2 times a day.

North Vista Chorale is striving!

Being a chorister and a tenor 1 in North Vista Chorale, I'm extremely pleased to say that our choir will be having a concert in Singapore Polytechnic with Singapore Polytechnic choristers. Being one of the second batch, I can say I've watched the choir grown as years go by. Let me say my piece.



















Mr Francis Liew (The person I respect most.)



I developed a phobia when I joined the choir. He would scold and shout at us most of the time. As a result, I became fearful of him. I no longer had the phobia because he became more understanding, and could joke with us around. No matter what he did, I have absolute respect for him. Ever since the birth of North Vista Chorale, he was the one who taught us the methods of singing, making us improve even better each time. During the Singapore Youth Festival 2003, we trained so hard and we attained a bronze. Not bad for a choir who didn't had experience at all.

After that, some of us went to Genting to compete in the 21st International Choral Festival, and they did us proud by achieving a Silver C award. For once, the award shut some of the performing arts as they mocked at us for getting a Bronze in Singapore Youth Festival.

Since this year, we were the seniors of the choir ever since the pioneers left. And it was the year of Singapore Youth Festival 2005 again. We were determined to do well. We had many sectionals and practised hard; we even had a camp as well! Hard work do pays off, and we clinched a Silver Award!





The professional singers compete in the SYF to clinch the Silver award with the guidance of Mr Francis Liew.



It was our swan's song for the Singapore Youth Festival, and we had thus stepped down for the juniors to take over.

Every year, the calibre of the students of North Vista Chorale improves and I'm sure we can get a Gold award if everything goes well.


THE GOOD NEWS

There have been news that North Vista Chorale will held their first-ever concert in Singapore Polytechnic, together with another choir, possibly Singapore Polytechnic itself.

There's also been plans that there will be an overseas trip next year.

Since North Vista Secondary School is going to be 5o years old next year, the performing arts may possibly be performing in Singapore Conference Hall (I think) with teachers, principals etc.

With these events coming on, North Vista Chorale will strive to success!

All in all, North Vista Chorale, I love you.

That's about it. There's only the Design and Technology Paper left.



Upset.


I felt so upset over my English paper. I shouldn't be scoring such marks. My composition scored 22/30. Mind you, alot of people get that marks too and Mr Malvin Lim said it was marked leniently. Since I am a top-scorer in composition, what does it got to say?

1. I didn't do as well as I expected.
2. Maybe it's the marker's problem.

Despite feeling confident that I'll pass my composition with flying colours, Mr Malvin Lim said I did not do as well as the Mid-Year Paper. I'm not sure why are there so many red lines across my composition, as I used to write in that kind of method before and scored higher marks. The new marker, Mr Devan felt my way of writing or whatsoever was inappropiate and gave me such marks. People told me it is because of different markers. But how would I know where I gone wrong? Therefore, the best choice is to ask another teacher, Mrs Singh to tell me what went wrong etc. I'll do just that, probably tomorrow.

After everything has been clarified, I will aim and work hard for an A1 and graduate to Secondary 5.


*UPDATE*

Also, I had (J) who made snide remarks about me. Apparently, the snob said I kept failing my maths all the way, adding that I should not have take E Maths at the first place. There's even more derogatory remarks made, but I found it superfluous to type it here. I really don't care if it's a joke or something. If you attack my weakness, you don't go beyond the line. There's a limit to my toleration, and whether you know where you cross the line depends on your sensitivity.

I am someone who is not offensed easily over trivial matters, unless you attack my weakest point.

Most memorable store ever.

I was eating with my mum and brother at a food court near Boon Keng MRT station and was walking around the area. We chanced upon a departmental store which sold pots and pans and other toiletries and cloths. (No, it's not those departmental store such as Metro or Tangs.) I found this departmental store memorable. Why? Look at these pictures :

After looking at the pictures, what words came out of your mind? Untidy? Unorganised? Well personally, this is by far the most messy departmental store that I've ever seen in my life. You can see that his things are lying around, which probably look like a typical storeroom. I can't help by wonder how is he going to find those items he needed for the customer. But then again, how could you blame him? His departmental store was probably around 2-4 times the size of your toilet. There were humongous goods around and the owner was in a foul mood.

I asked him about the situation. He said "I used to have much larger space to put all my goods. However, due to the reconstruction of the building, there were limited space constraint and now, I have too many goods to squeeze into my present shop."

Perhaps it is true. But his departmental store was the only one that was messy while other shops were quite neat and tidy.

No matter what, I feel it's the most memorable and messiest store ever.

Nokia N90

After a few weeks time, it's going to be 1 year since I signed a 2-year plan with M1. I was intending to upgrade to a new handphone, I searched for a suitable Nokia handphone (I love Nokia, it's my fave brand.) that has 2 megapixels and other cool features in the stores because only Sony Ericsson has such a phone. However, it proven to be futile. Then, while I was logging in Friendster, I found an account dedicated to Nokia, and it showed a phone called N90. Serendipity? You bet! I decided to check at Nokia's website and there I found, Nokia N90!

God, I want this phone! Besides having cool features, I needed the 2 Megapixel camera so I doesn't need to buy a camera; I was interested in CoolPix S1. Anyway, I intend to trade in my current N6230 for around $200-$300, and I'll start saving really hard for the camera phone. However, I am oblivious of the price. If you know, can you tell me what's the retail price in Singapore? Thanks alot!

Hi guys, I hope you like the revamped blog. I decided to use back Blogger.com because it has much more features than Friendster do. I could design and create any templates FREE but Friendster ridiculously charge users to design their own blogs. For those who doesn't know HTML, Blogger.com even have much more templates for people in that category. Still, the best about Friendster blog is that once you updates your blog, friends will be notified of it. Thus, gaining more viewers. Today, I had to do CIP around the SengKang area.. We had to collect newspapers, unwanted clothes etc.. Similar to a rag-and-bone man.. There are kind souls who offered to help us.. It was kinda great.. Anyway, during the afternoon, we went to watch a movie. War Of The Worlds. This is the first time, I shed tears for a movie. Why? This movie clearly shows that ManKind can do anything in order to survive. For instance, Tom Cruise killed a man to shut him up so that his daughter would be protected. (Aliens can hear them.) From an uncaring father to someone who tried to protect his daughter and son, I would give the movie 8/10. It really blends well with Science-Fiction and social reality. But, the ending was lame.. The aliens were killed because of bacteria ; they breathed our air, thats why they started to die. Nevertheless, Steven Spielberg had done a great job. Oh, Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning, they're great too!

Terribly pissed off. I had Daniel that idiot who called me a bootlicker. Saying that I "por" the vice-principal. What's his problem? Anyway, I had a shock after I reach home, I was experiencing a blackout! Thanks to the stubborness of my dad and refusal of paying the utilities bill, the electricity was cut off. I was irate. VERY PISSED OFF. I ate my dinner with a torch-light when it was pitch-black. I wonder how can I sleep through the night with no air-con or even a fan. I have to bathe with no lights on and cold water. Now, the electricity will be reconnect the next day. I seriously hope my father learns a lesson. I am in a terrible mood.. Argh.. I wonder if I can get my P.E attire by tomorrow..I couldn't use the washing-machine, and WORST OF ALL, I am worried for my fishes in the tank!! It's the first time I experience such a terrible black-out.. Alright enough of my whining.

I am writing this because I am in my grandma's house now. We had to go to iron our clothes...I am trying to figure out how I am going to sleep through the night..

It's a unforgettable day. Let's not talk about what happened in school. Let's talk about what happen AFTER school. The Vice-Principal summoned both 4N1 and 4N2 to the hall to talk to us. He talked about the mentality that we guys have, stressing the importance of urgency once again, and compared 'N' level with kindergarten certificates. Saying that foreign students can do much better than locals if they had the opportunity to come here to study. I was flabbergasted by his tone. He seems to be a nonchalant and nice guy but when he is serious, he gets down to business. Anyway, I was also surprised that he even asked our subject teachers in, encouraging them to say out the feelings of teaching us. Perhaps some but not MOST, were incorrigible. What's even appalling is that we were warned that if our attitude sucks and continue not to do our assigned homework, we were to be kicked out of school. We were even made to sign a committment letter, saying that at any point of time, if we play truancy and doesn't do any homework, we'll be kicked out of school..

About the whole speech, I only had 1 thing to say. If Mr Yong had the intention of making me change for the better, he succeeded. Effective to some, I must say, but I can't understand why some people hate him after that talk. Totally no clue.

Hi people! It's been quite a while since I've updated. June holidays is ending soon.. And within a few weeks, 'N' levels is gonna start.. Trying to aim well for my results.. maths, science, history.. etc.. Hope I pass well.. Anyway, I've still need to do my Design and Technology folio.. hee..Gonna be very busy from tomorrow onwards.. Hee.. Recently, a friend of mine from Pakistan, gave me a very good encouragement.:

Yeah, we tried it at Changi Airport.. It's really quiet and cooling..Nice place to study.. But food's expensive.. No grumbling.. hehe.. Anyway, I revised algrebra the whole day.. So tiring.. We were studying well.. After that, we went around, and we took the Skytrain, not forgetting to go to the viewing mall, where the aeroplanes took off are held.. Cool indeed.. I woke up at around 9.30am.. Gotta prepare to go to chemistry remedial.. Hmmm, I was late for a few minutes.. Anyway, Mrs Teo taught some new chapters.. Managed to know some.. Also, I heard that Liang Zhi's been back from Hong Kong.. Probably around 1 week. Guess he had lots of fun. I've finally finished my artefact, and wanted to bring it home.. But it was SO fragile, it broke when I accidentally hit it.. Great, now I need the help of Mr Yusri to help me stick back by using chloroform. I'll be bringing back home.. Also, Justin was copying my design. I was making a dipper and he a stirrer and dipper.. What the.. Ah, hope my overall beats him. I believe tomorrow's gonna be a great day. I'll be going to study at Changi Airport with 3 of my friends. Pretty cool right? It's a marvellous idea. Gonna find some quiet place for some serious study.. Because 2 of them will be having their 'O' levels..Let's just hope it turns out well. June holidays is going to end pretty soon.. I'm praying that I pass my 'N' levels well. I've been so busy during the June Holidays.. Remedials, remedials! And also, I finally finished my D&T "workpiece". Ahh, it's finally done. It's called the Tea-Dipper. Guess I doesn't need to explain further right? Heehee, hope you guys can try it out and give some comments.. I still got my folio to worry about..Not forgetting, my other subjects.. oh well....... Been a while since I've blog. You see, I participated in the Vistarian Race and my body and legs were aching for the past few days.. We were among the first actually, but were stuck at the Palawan beach. The race clearly sucks. The rules were unclear. Some teams were given the clue to Siloso beach while some to Palawan beach.. In the end, the person was in the middle.(if you know what i mean) And what's worse, the race made 2 teachers quarrel. Mr Devan and Mrs Bryan. Mrs Bryan said Mr Devan shouldn't help his team to spell the word just because he was an English teacher. Mr Devan then said there wasn't any rule to say that an English teacher cannot help to spell English words. Ridiculous right? Ah, poor Miss Tan, she was feeling giddy after the first checkpoint, and had to return home..In the end, Ms Ezarin came and took over.. Anyway, among the 26 teams, we came in 24th. Kinda bad result, but we lost with honour. Unlike other teams, who took rides when the rules had said they weren't supposed to. The irony is that some of them were from integritas, which means integrity. But all in all, it was nothing but a very tired race. Probably the worse one I've ever experienced. But I got to say that our team was one with motivation. My teammates were encouraging each other.. etc.. However, if there were to be another race next year, there will be doubts that I will join the race again. Anyway, today, I did alot for my practical for D&T.. My othe friends left me alone.. I went to school early in the morning for choir.. Mr Liew had something to tell us.. about SYF.. He forgot to bring the comments but said the comments were quite good.. We nearly attained gold. 2 judges said we should get gold while the other 3 objected. So we got the highest silver. But its ok.. We tried our best.. than he said about our studies.. planning for June holidays etc.. I gotta work hard during the june holidays.. oh well.. Anyway, after school, me, yan tong, jun ping, jia yi and yingying went to Sim lim tower to buy D&T stuff.. Some people there were very rude and showed poor service.. In the end, I bought nothing but just a switch. What's more infuriating is that, after we reached there, Mr Yusri said he knows how to make and modify it... Argh.. so pissed off.. Went to a far place, but wasted trip... There was a sad news.. Someone in our school died. I cannot name names.. but he died of asthma attack.. I felt so sad.. I knew the boy.. It was certainly heart-wrenching. I thought: Why was this such an unfair world? He was a very nice and obedient boy.. Yet he had to die when he was 14.. Why? Why? I am very sad.. If his family would need some financial help, I will donate some money.. Haizz, why like that? My mood is really very bad.. I really hope God will bless his soul and his family. It's been quite some time since I posted. Sorry. Anyway, I went to my grandma's house today. My grandma cried, saying that she had dragged the whole family..(She suffered a stroke.) My grandpa also cried, telling her not to be like that.. The atmosphere was very bad.. I nearly cried too. You see, she's been to those therapy and acupuncture but nothing seems to help, even though she's progressing kinda fast. She even thought of dying. Luckily, we were there to motivate her.. Anyway, I was recalling the past.. Come to think of it, time really flies. From my primary school days.. Ahh, Amanda, Joey.. Guess there's still others but they doesn't recognise me.. At Compassvale Pri.. Ivan, Feng wei.. All came to NVSS and we still study together.. Javier, Jeffrey and others.. Some went to Catholic High.. How bout those teachers? I still can't forget them. Mdm Usha, Mrs Arif, Mrs Wee... Ah... Secondary school.. Thought about 1n1.. Lynn, she left school.. How bout Maria? She migrated to Canada.. Wei Jian, Aik San.. retained.. Now we doesn't even talk..How bout Audrey? She got promoted to Express.. Thought about 4n2.. Seperated from 4n1.. thinking about now.. and the future... I really don't know.. I don't wanna believe that friends come and go. Yes, maybe not as close.. but at least stay in contact.. Oh well.... All the best and God bless.

As you can see, I did better for social studies than in elective history. No comments for combined humanities. But I still have high hopes for it in 'N' level. English paper 1, I did extremely well. Paper 2 was lower thanks to my mistake in the summary. Nevertheless, I still score well and only 0.4 marks close to getting A1. Geography paper, I was 2.5 marks short to getting the minimum passing mark. I have to admit I was a letdown for Geography paper. But my overall marks will pulled the marks up. I did badly, but I will try my best next time. Design and technology I got the minimum passing mark. I was expecting to score higher for it, but oh well, speechless. E Maths. It was the most letdown subject among all. I was hoping to pass, only to be killed in paper 2, no thanks to the miscalculations of the cumulative frequency curve. Hopefully, I will pass my maths in 'N' level. I will work hard for it. Trust me. I won't despair and give up hope easily. For chinese language, I wouldn't give the overall because I hadn't received my listening paper marks. So I am estimating myself to get around B3. As for combined science, I got 42/100. Physics Paper 2 was a total letdown. I got no comments. But for Chemistry, I managed to score well and pushed the marks to 42. Guess thats all. Well seriously, I am going to paid double attention to my combined science and humanities, and the most important of all, E Maths. I must not let Mrs Yap down. I must not let myself down. Kinda bad day for me. I was doing Geograhpy paper. All seems to goes well except section B.. I just couldn't remember the river processes. To think I study on the weekends for hours, yet my mind just gone blank. Maybe I'll do badly. Tomorrow's D&T and Elective history, guess I stop brooding about Geography and continue with the rest of the paper.. oh well.. God bless everyone...

It's been quite a while since I blog. Well, I was busy preparing for exams and had no time to blog. Mid-year examinations had begun. For yesterday's Mother Tongue paper, I think I can, well, at least get a B3. Today was bad. I believe I will do well for my paper 1, but I am not displaying my potential this time that much. For paper 2, it was all well except for summary. The instructions said not more than 130 words. But I exceed way that limit to 217 words. When I realise it, the time was over. It certainly dashed my hopes of getting A1, since the summary accumulate to 20 marks. Well, but I believe I can still pass the summary, just the marks only. I believe my language and content is quite strong for that. Well, let's just hope my paper 1 and 2 will get in an A1. Hope my prayers are answered. The only thing that I can blame myself is poor time management. No matter what marks I get, I deserved it. Anyway, tomorrow's Social Studies paper. I've been racking my brains to memorise the chapters, trying to forget the grave mistake I made for the English summary. Hope I do well for all papers, especially maths and science. After that, I went for my NAPFA test.. Great, I failed my inclined pull-up. But I think I pass others except pull-up and standing broad jump.. Haha.. Anyway after that, I went home.. Sorry people, it's been a while since I blog. I was extremely busy with my school work. Anyway, I am very happy.. My new computer will be delivered this saturday.. My old com, which had served me for 6 years will be given to my father.. hehe.. Than I could log in to the internet without any more problems.. Next week is mid year exams.. Tonight was an unforgettable night. It was my swan's performance (Last performance) for this year. Well, I came back to school in the afternoon to do some choir-related things.. Let's cut things short and go straight to Speech Day. Well, Ms Elim Chew was the Guest-Of-Honour of the year. She was probably the most down-to-earth GOH that I've ever known. As the managing director and founder of 77th Street, she let us watch some breakdancing. She talked and I was listening attentively. What she said had really make sense. After that, she gave out 77th Street vouchers to people who came up on stage. It meant that no matter what items you buy in any 77th Street chain stores, it only costs $5. Very cool indeed. Of course, many people took it.. I was kinda surprised that Feng Wei went up to take it. The voucher was certainly attractive. But I didn't want to take. After that, she talked about the 3 types of people, opportunities and so on. When it was the Prize-Giving ceremony, I was kinda happy and nervous. When I went up on stage, she smiled at me and I smiled back. She said: "Waa, your English so good. Keep it up." I immediately replied: Thanks. It's my honour to meet you. We smiled again and received the prize from her and shook hands and I gave her a light bow before bowing a Japanese bow towards the audience. I had a very good impression of Ms Chew. After walking down the stage, I went to the lecture room to prepare for singing. Choir was the first to go on stage and we recieved loud clappings from the audience. We sang Resonemus Laudibus and Potong Padi respectively. It was nice. But I was sweating all over. It went to my eyes and my mouth.. Yeah, disgusting you may say, but we performers need to have stage manners.. So I couldn't wipe it off. Something interesting happened. When finishing the last song, immediately after we sang "Pa-di!" A balloon bursts and caused a loud noise. It was perfect timing indeed. Too coincidental. It sparked off a loud round of applause. After performing, we went to the AVA room.. Well, it was very sad. Alot of choristers were crying because the sec 4s were leaving.. Tonight was the last performance of the sec 4s. Yeah, we cut the cake, took alot of pictures.. Most of the girls were crying and some of the boys too.. I was crying in my heart but I didn't want to show it out. I hugged alot of my choir mates.. We were quite sad.. It was like a sad atmosphere.. But after that, we thank Mr Francis Liew and the teachers.. And we ate the packet of dinner they provided. After that, all of us went home.. I was wearing my choir costume.. Oh god, I was in the centre of attraction in the public.. Gosh.. How I wish I could teleport back home. Anyway, I asked the feedback of some of my friends and they said the choir did a very good job. The songs were nice but they did not understood what we were singing. It's ok.. at least you guys enjoyed the performance.. :) Some even said they could hear my voice loud and clear.. even though they were far.. Hehe I am so happy tonight.. It was a good day indeed. My English composition came in 1st in class. I wasn't expecting this, since the last time, Mr Malvin Lim said Julianna's compo was the best so far.. However, my skills of English essay had got me the place of being first. Finally, my credibility will speak for myself. Now, I am trying to find more suitable words to widen my vocabulary. I've got to admit that the reading log is very useful.. I am trying to improve even better or at least keep on the standard.. Anyway, after school, I had to stay back for the Speech Day.. felt so tired.. Mr Francis Liew came today and we ran through the songs..Bass gone horribly wrong.. I am looking forward to this friday, Speech Day.. 77th Street Managing Director, Ms Elim Chew (Hope I spell it correctly.) was our Guest-Of-Honour.. I couldn't blog yesterday because I was way too tired and I was knocked out immediately after I hit the bed. Well yesterday, we had a great time in Escape Theme Park. I played nearly every ride but for 1 ride, it was on maintenance check for the whole day so we couldn't play.. Other rides were fun, except that someone vomitted while in the Pirate Ship. We also played rides like Alpha 8 (Panasonic). Very cool, and there was this caucasian, who was inside the theatre and he came out and said to us : "Hello, my name's Harry." We replied : " Well, my name's potter.. We had a great laugh.. Anyway, Mr Chin made a surprise trip from Australia to Singapore, just to watch NV Symphonic Band. He came to Escape Theme Park with us and had a great time, screaming his head off for some rides.. Mr and Mrs Yap were present too.. They were so lovey-dovey.. I talked to Mr Yap about his occupation, and could see he was quite friendly.. Anyway, Mr Chin, Mr and Mrs Yap went early.. and the others stayed till quite late.. We had our dinner at the food court and we went to Hougang Plaza to play lan.. After that, some of us went home while some stayed and played for a while..I was so tired.. And today, I woke up at around 10am and we had to pray our ancestors at the Lim Chu Kang Cemetery. The weather was surprisingly cool, not as hot as last year, when the blazing sun was scorching. At night, I was kinda tired after watching the NKF Charity Show.. I saw how poor some of them were.. and I felt that God was so unfair.. It's ironic that God gave me a good life, yet I am 'saying' him.. Despite all the efforts the artistes showed, I called only 2 times.. Alright, gotta stop here.. felt kinda tired.. All the best. Some things happened today. During elective history class, Julianna fainted. She was standing when she suddenly collapsed and the table toppled. The class was shocked.. and the other girls and me helped Julianna up. Some said she didn't exercise and she was on diet. Because of that, she felt weak and fainted. But she's alright now. I had my chinese test but I didn't had the time to finish it. WHat's more, today's English comprehension, I just couldn't concentrate and finish it cos' the class was way too noisy. Argh, I was so pissed off. Anyway, 2 of the performing arts had got back their results. Modern Dance got glamourous gold while Band obtained a shimmering silver. Band wasn't quite pleased and most of the girls cried.. All I can say is that, don't be sad. At least you guys didn't deprove. Don't think too much about it. Last but not least, congratulations to Modern Dance for clinching the Gold award. The last performing art is Drama. All the best.

Today, woke up early in the morning.. than went to school for speech day..I was one of the prize winners and we had to do the walking up and down procedure. After that, choir sang and it was a break.. Whoa, I was utterly impressed by Tisa.. 4 straight years for getting the best in English Language for Express. Wow! Way too cool.. Hope to make friends with her and learn more from her.. After school, I went for D&T but Mr Lim asks us to do it at home so I had nothing to do.. so I went to English remedial.. Firstly, my sincere apologies for not blogging, mainly because of my computer. It had started to give me problems and I couldn't log in to Friendster and other websites. Let's just hope I will get a new computer by the end of this month. Anyway, I was very pissed off with a classmate of mine, over money. He kept on promising that he will return back but in the end he did not. And I had to fork out the money to the other friend just to pay. Imagine paying money from your own pocket without doing anything wrong. Totally ludicrous/ridiculous. I had learnt NOT to lend people money when they don't pay up. I despise them. It's not that I am calculating or petty but it's just that, if you relent, he will continue to climb over your head. From now on, I will carefully decide who I will lend to from now. I was on clouds nine, nonetheless. I won an "award" for being the top for English Language and was going to receive it on Speech Day. Cool, but it's going to be busy for me, as Choir had to perform on that day as well. It's going to be an unforgettable night for me, I guess. Anyway, I stayed back after school with some of my female friends to do D&T folio. Work alot and talk alot. Haha.. After that, I realised the teachers were playing some ball game.. I heard it was to keep the teachers fit, and I saw some familiar teachers playing. Alright.. I gotta stop here.. I hope its possible for me to update daily. My wishes to everyone and God bless.


Firstly, I would like to congratulate the Chinese Dance for clinching the Gold award with honours. It was certainly impressive and I felt happy for you girls.. Hehe.. continue to work hard k? Also, all the best to the other performing arts, namely : Band, Modern Dance, Drama as they were to compete either on the next 3 days..



Secondly, I would like to say that the Sound Of Music musical was certainly a good one.. If you got the time and money, and a fan of the world's beloved musical, I certainly encourage you to go. It's definitely worthwhile and unforgettable. They're in Singapore from 8 April to 30 April. (No, I ain't promoting the musical. I am encouraging you guys to watch it.)


Last but not least, this is for someone, I would like to say, I had given up on you. I don't have the patience to wait for you anymore. I've got my exams coming soon and I am extremely active in Choir. Girl, I prefer to blame it on fate and whether if I will have a BGR in the near future, my answer is no. Perhaps when I graduated, I'll rely on nature to take its course.

Early in the morning, I felt so fresh and well. Well, I was still happy over the clinch of the Silver Award. During school, Mr Lim, (Our principal) announced that Choir had won the Silver Award in SYF. We felt so proud. Well, perhaps the limelight should now be given to other performing arts as they compete in SYF. Anyway, Mdm Tay was absent so there was no Chinese lesson. During P.E lesson, we were to run 2.4km around the school. So I started preparing myself to run. I knew I was going to fail, but I decided to go with a positive attitude. I ran with my classmates..as you guys know I am not that fit, I was struggling. As I struggle, memories of SYF flashed across my mind. I keep on running and running. My body was killing me. I feel like dying. I was in pain and I tried my best. Mr William Goh had said if I wants to reach in 20 mins, I will reach in 20 mins. I want to pass. I want to. I tried. During the finishing line, I lost to Janna Marican and Adilah by a mere 10 seconds. I came in 9th. I was in pain and I felt terrible. I went to the water cooler to drink and after quite some time, I felt much better, but I was physically drained and weak. I couldn't play badminton in recess. No strength. Anyway, during D&T lesson, we did quite alot of things. After school, some of us went to Heartland Mall to take neoprints and had lunch there. The shoot was so ugly. After that, Jason and Chee wei went back to school for band and Jeremy accompany me to the fish mart to do some *fish shopping*. After that we went home.. I feel so happy, I will be attending the Sound Of Music performance tomorrow for free! Of course is the cheapest tickets, the organisers had decided to sponsor us because we participated at the Sound Of Music competition.. Tomorrow sure reach home very late.. alright... gonna stop here, I still need to do my reading log. So busy for SYF until no time.. haizz, oh well, God bless and best wishes to everyone.

I blog especially early because I was on clouds nine. Overjoyed. North Vista Chorale achieved a Silver Award for SYF Central Judging 2005.

Well, I woke up at around 4.30am but suddenly doze off until 5am. I bathed and did all the necessities. After eating my breakfast and putting on my contact lenses, I rushed to school. Luckily, I managed to catch up with the bus and reached school at 5.50am. We did some stretching exercises and warm ourselves up. After that, we went to change into our costumes. God, I was forced to put on make-up after that.. Argh.. Anyway, we went through our songs with Mr Francis Liew and after that, we board the bus to go to Singapore Conference Hall. When we reached our destination, we went to the toilet and than to the waiting room. Mr Yong (Did I spell it correctly?) (Vice-Principal) was also in the room. We did our final brush up and going through all the scores thoroughly, before the judging begins. Mr Yong pat me in my back and wished me good luck. Than, the awaited time begun. There are around 3 choirs watching us in the front row and the 4 respected judges are in the upper row. Some came from United Kingdom, Indonesia, etc. Ms Lim started giving the notes for the set piece, Sunset, while Mr Liew conduct.. We sang through all of them. Sunset, Resonemus Laudibus and Potong Padi. After the singing, we received loud applause. We walk down through those doors and begin to get seated to watch 5 choirs. Well, we watch North View Sec, Catholic High, Bukit Batok Sec, Bedok View Sec and I forgot the other one. However, Catholic High was the best among all. They were a Gold boys choir conducted by Mr Nelson Kwei.. They sang very well, doing all the dynamics very well. Their soprano was so.. I am speechless. One of them were someone I knew, he was in the Singapore Lyrics Opera and we lost to them in the Sound Of Music.. Needless to say, they got Gold with honours for SYF. Anyway, some of the pieces other choir used for SYF were what we learned before.. After watching 5 choirs.. most of us had to returned back to school for lessons, and committee members were allowed to stay back for the results.. We were quite anxious.. We returned to school and we received alot of attention. We changed back to our costumes and went to the canteen for food. Suddenly while we were eating, some of the girls started screaming. North Vista Chorale had achieved Silver. Some cried.. we felt happy. You know, being the first in among the performing arts to go SYF is a stressed thing, back to the fact that some had lost their voice or affected it in last week's Sec 3 camp. And a few days later, we had to go to SYF. The whole canteen were filled with happiness and joy. We felt good, and happy. After that, the news spread like wildfire. Of course there are some people who talked bad about choir, but I talked back with sarcasm..

I've heard that some band members said "If Choir get silver, Band sure get Gold." Well, I seriously condemn that sentence. Every performing art has it's own judging criteria. And in the eyes of some band members, they look down on Choir. They seemed to forget that Choir got an International Silver back ago and only cared what we achieved on the SYF Central Judging 2002. Which is Bronze. Well, don't get too over-confident or you will make mistakes. All the best for SYF though. We remains friends but not foes.

Congratulations to Shermaine (my cousin) on your school, Tanjong Katong Sec achieving Gold with honour.. I feel so happy for you.. Anyway, I heard that in the SYF 2002, Yio Chu Kang Secondary Choir got Gold but yesterday, they got a bronze. Utter disbelief right?

Last but not least, I would like to thank those people including, graduating seniors, Mr Yong for making the effort to come and support us. You guys believed in us and we made it. For the better. Thank you God, for my prayers were answered. Thank you, my reader for spending time reading. God bless you and everyone in the world. My sincere wishes.

Once in a blue moon will I be blogging at such a time. Well, I didn't update yesterday because I was way too tired. I woke at at 4.30am and had to go for choir sectionals. I was dead beat. Today, my body was aching all over and I had a terrible flu which I got yesterday.. probably from the weather..I had no mood in whatever I did today.. Very inactive.. Worse still, my flu had affected my voice. So I did nothing but keep on drinkning LOTS of water. Today at classes, I would try to sleep whenever the teacher isn't looking. Way too tired. Miraculously, I managed to survive the day. I've still got to wake up at 4am tomorrow and now I still got homework to do... If tomorrow's results doesn't pay off, all our efforts will be down the drain. Thanks Mr Malvin Lim for the 'encouragement'. Hope Choir will get the results they longed to get. Today, nothing interesting happened... Stayed at home all day... I've got to wake up at 5am early in the morning.. gotta stop here, sorry nothing much to write.. god bless everyone.. best wishes and take care.. God bless Choir!!!

It's been 3 days since I've updated my blog. Well, alot of things had happened and I don't have the time to update. Today had happened alot of things. Early in the morning, I turned up late for choir. Jason Sia (Tenor Sectional Leader) called my handphone and I quickly rush to school without brushing my teeth and having breakfast. Luckily, when I reach school, Mr Liew did not scolded me and was in a good mood. However something happened. I don't wish to name which sections. Mr Liew was in a foul mood and 1-2 sections didn't follow him, pissing him off. He just left with Ms Lim. I was utterly surprised. It was clearly bad.. Technically speaking the last practice and yet he just left. He's giving us another chance on Monday. We have to prove it to him. We have to. Immediately after he left, there were some heated arguments among choir members. Luckily it subsided and Shi Hui tried to take over for an hour before letting us go. After that, I stayed at home for a while before I met Jun Ping and the others for a movie. We watched The Eye 10 at 7.30pm.. Some had prolonged the time until late evening. But there are some interesting events. Quite a few people bought very cool bags.. Each costs $45.. After buying the bags we went to play arcade.. before watching The Eye 10. The movie was like.. some laughter and horror. I would give it 4 over 5. An impressively good movie. After the movie, some people had to go home..And those who stayed behind wanted to eat dinner. We went to the coffeeshop next to Parco Bugis Junction. When we tried to have a seat, there was this awful stench. Later did we realise it was the smelly beancurd next to the coffeeshop. After we eat our dinner (we changed seats), Jeremy suggested we eat the smelly beancurd. We challenged. And we bought it. The smell was like watery stools.. I was going to puke anytime.. The smelly beancurd came in 10 small pieces. I was the first to try. When I put the beancurd into my mouth, the stench filled my mouth and my nostrils were breathing that awful smell. Honestly, it taste 'kinda' good except for its odour. The last one to eat was Zi Cai. He chickened out, but we manage to persuade him to take one. Everyone of us tried. I admit it was really like putting watery shit into your mouth. But great experience rite? It's a delicacy in Taiwan. After that we went to the nearby 7-11 to buy some sweets. Even as I write this, my mouth still had that stench of smelly beancurd odour. I rinse my mouth but it's still there. Hopefully tomorrow, it will be gone. After eating smelly beancurd, we went to the MRT and went straight home. Gotta stop here.. All the best and God bless. Best wishes..

Today, school as usual.. except that during the first period, we weren't in class. We were at the lawn of the school compound. We were doing descriptive writing. Haizzz, when I showed Mr Malvin Lim, he said I didn't do well.. He explained to me, and I get the rough idea about it and understood, nonetheless. Than doing Health and Fitness, we were suppose to run outside along the school for 2 rounds. But it rained cats and dogs.. So we had to go back. After school, Liang Zhi, Vincent and me went to the library but Vincent went home earlier. He had met some mates to play lan-gaming. Than after that, Liang Zhi and me take bus 119 and we saw Haidah, Safarina and Sazlinah in the bus. We talked a while before we alighted. Nothing much today, so Imma stop here.. God bless everyone. Today, I was very busy.. Maliha and the others had to go to SYF practice and left me with all the work. Luckily, some of my friends helped out. But during physics class, Muhaimien said Maliha keep on doing all the work. He doesn't even know the facts well yet he talked crap. He maligned me, and I had to "shoot" him back. Anyway, after school, I had my lunch at canteen. After that, I went for choir. During Speech Day rehearsal, everything went well except choir. The malay teacher keep on asking us to enter and leave the stage for umpteen times. What's more ludicrous is that she even ask us to enter the stage within 20 seconds. Choir was definitely pissed off. I thought to myself. What's the rush about entering the stage, they having a race? Choir had been the target of some teachers for quite some time. I ain't making groundless comments. Besides Choir can feel it. Bias perhaps. Anyway, after that we went for our choir sectionals. After that, we returned to the AVA room and Mdm Tay said that on SYF Central Judging for choir, The principal, vice-principal and mrs chong will be there for us. Cool! But we've got to work hard...Hehe.. alright.. gotta stop here, I've still got 2 tests tomorrow. God bless and take care...

Today, I woke up early in the morning, after that went to boon keng with my family. When we were in the MRT, there was this inconsiderate person. He was listening to songs without his earpiece and all of us could hear the songs. Wa kaoz.. this kind of person.. I keep on clearing my throat to signal him, but with no avail...He just keep on listening.. I decided to ignore him.... After that, we went to my grandma's house.. visit a while, than went to a street near sim lim tower to buy some fish accessories.. it was raining heavily.. I was totally wet, totally pissed off.. haizzzz .. I reach home around 8.. and I had to do some fish "troubleshoot".. k la.. gotta stop here.. thanks for reading.. God bless you and your family. It's been 4 days since I've updated my blog. My internet was cut off due to modem problems so I had to troubleshoot. Let's talk about today. Well, I went to choir early in the morning.. As we were practising, our principal, Mr Lim and Mrs Helen Chong went to the AVA room and watch us. I was pleasantly surprised by his trip.. Anyway, he said we sang in harmony.. and thats a compliment. He talked about the sec 3 camp.. And tell us that what matters most is to try our best. Than, there's this girl called Hwei Hoon.. Haizz quite sad la... She's the only one that is out of SYF.. means cannot go compete.. When Mdm Elaine Wee talk to her, she broke down into tears..Haizzz I feel like helping her but don't know how to.. She keep on crying.. it was heart-wrenching. Let's just hope Mr Francis Liew give her another chance.. She was out of SYF because she could not sing in pitch, out of tune..that's why she was out. Haizz... that thing really spoiled my day.. so sad.. I wish to console her.. but don't know how.. Oh well, hope she can still go to SYF.. I'll try to look things in an optimistic way... Today, nothing much la.. today do an English test.. got 45/65... ok la.. can la.... than after that go classes.. Mr Devan talk about the atomic bomb talk until very big deal.. lol.. Anyway, don't know why this new timetable made me feel time pass so slowly even with the homeroom system.... Than after school, I went to speech day rehearsal.. don't understand why choir never sing than others got perform.. quite lame la.. it was a waste of time.. Today was a sad day...I failed my maths test (Statistics) Haizz.. 1 question miscalulate cost me 6 marks.. I only got 9/25.. haizz I think Mrs Yap is displeased with it. Maybe. I just hope my 'N' level maths can get B3 I can be happy till cry. Anyway, my mood managed to lighten up a little when I went for English class. I got 23/30 for my Informal Letter test which is equivalent to A1.. I getting worried for my maths sia.. Since today is the new term, they gave us a new timetable.. after school, went to canteen for lunch.. than I went for choir...Nothing more le la.. haizz so sad.. gotta stop here.. Today, I just woke up and went to Tampines.. Was looking for some dinosaur head thingy for my D&T project.. Went to Isetan, Toys R Us.. But still cannot find.. haizzz After that went to eat lunch with family than go back.. Still sad about yesterday's loss.. haizzz Tomorrow, I will be getting my maths test results.. hope I pass.. Haizz today nothing much... very tired.. actually think tomorrow don't want to come to school. I didn't post yesterday because I was too tired from the practices. My bad. Well, let's talk about today. I woke up early in the morning, preparing myself for school. During school, we practiced for a while than we booked 3 cabs to Suntec City Convention Hall.. We registered and than eat our lunch there. After that we went to prepare and make-up.. Than we waited for a few contestants to sing. And it was our turn..yes, I believed we did well. Than the others from the same categories and others performed. But from our category, our choreography was the best among them. We were perfectly well-organised except for some very very little minor mistakes. There are other people performing as Maria.. Some were kinda good, but some were totally out of tune, and 1 even need a paper because she didn't memorise the lyrics! When the results came, we were very nervous. In the end, we lost. Singapore Lyrics Opera got in. I was utterly shocked in disbelief. I believed we had a strong chance to get in to the finale. In my humble opinion, I felt the judges preferred foreign talent rather than local talent, because there are some caucasians in the Singapore Lyrics Opera.. And there is this male judge who was very disrespectful. He looked bored, and let his chin lie on his chin. What an idiot. After the competition, 2 guys were having a tiff. It was the organiser and the crew member. It was because there was this group, who wore their costumes but didn't get to perform at all.. Probably the crew member's fault. But the organiser was shouting like a sissy. But they managed to calm down.. so the group didn't get to perform.. oh well, thats sad.. Even though we lost, I had to say we had fun at the stage. And we gain exposure. That's the most important thing. We lost, but we've got good mentality and spirit. Since we lost, I'll focus on SYF. I still got lots of homework to do.. Always find no time to do..Everyday go school.. haizzz..Perhaps do it tomorrow.. haha..Alright.. gotta stop here. Have a great day and god bless everyone. Best wishes.

Today, woke up in the morning to practice Sound Of Music with choir members.. 2 more days left to the biggest competition cum performance of my life.. Haizz I am soooooo nervous... Soo nervous.. haizzzz after that, I went for choir sectionals.. felt so tired... after that, I had an appointment with my hairstylist in Tampines.. Sorry, yesterday didn't update because of practices.. I was dead tired when I reach home..Anyway, today early in the morning, I went for my Sound Of Music practice.. well, we finished all the steps.. all we need is just to perfect it before saturday.. After my practice, I went home to bathe and meet Liang Zhi, Jason.. After that we went to Dhoby Ghaut.. Went to eat Long John Silvers.. After that play some arcade.. Than we walk to Heeren to meet the others. Xiao Min and her boyfriend also came.. Than me, Jeremy, Sin wee, Samantha and Xiao Min took neoprints.. Quite nice la.. Than after that, we went window shopping at orchard..after that, we went to Marina South. Something unusual happened. While all of us were walking at the path.. we were greeted by people who ask us to eat steamboat.. When we agreed, they had a mini van taking us to the place.. well it was kinda far, and I felt it was cool.. We ate steamboat, had lots of fun.. Yeah, we laugh and joke around.. I thought the money we paid each was reasonable. $10 each.. We ate seafood, etc.. After that, we went to play bowling.. But not all went to play.. Jason, Guan Jie, Han Wen and Samantha went to play pool, while me, Wei Chong, Jeremy, Zi Cai, Sin Wee, Liang Zhi, Gabriel went to play bowling.. Well, its been years since I've played. Forgot all basics.. Anyway, 7 of us played.. Miraculously, I got in second. (Not I haolian, I was utterly surprised.) There was one shot, when I roll the ball, it was going to the "hole" already.. but at the last, the ball turned left and hit all except 2 "poles" left.. I managed to maintain my second position until the last, when Zi Cai tremendously shot pass me when he got 2 strikes. Cool! Well, I believe everyone tried their best.. hope we can have a game again.. hehe.. real fun wasn't it? Anyway immediately after the game than we had to go le.. In the end, me, Samantha, Liang Zhi and Jason went to take taxi.. I left my IC at the bowling alley and asked them to help me take.. hehe... Anyway, that's all for today.. Good night and god bless..

Today, after choir, me, Samuel, Glenda, Sheraline and Sheena went to Rivervale Plaza to have lunch... I was having sore throat and I didn't sing during choir practice.. so I eat more "cooler" foods..Than in stadium, normal... just cheer etc.. And the same history repeated itself. Fidelis got first, Veritas got second, Justitia got third and Integritas got last. Just like that.. Than they held us back for so long.. actual time was 5.30pm and they held us back like around 6.35pm... Argh.. I was damn pissed off.. What's the use of watching Sports Day when the same house (Fidelis) keep on winning for 4 consecutive years. No meaning right? Total waste of time and energy.. Alright gonna stop here.. I manage to squeeze out some time to write this blog.. I got alot of work to do.. too much.. argh.. And I have to stay back tomorrow for Sound Of Music.. there's also meet-the-parents session too..I am extremely busy. Alright gonna stop here.. God bless and bye..

Today, there were good news.. I passed my chemistry test miraculously. I also passed my Geography test, but this time I got lower marks.. oh well.. In chemistry class, Jason blew his top off.. He was like someone who had gone berserk, or should I say, lunatic.. Than during English class, Mr Malvin Lim give us spelling.. and I got full marks.. alot of people got full marks.. Today, as usual nothing much..during recess, I took my weight.. it was an astonishing of 86!!!!!! Oh my god.. I've GOT to lose weight. But what to do? Next week, I have to perform at Suntec Convention hall.. (Sound Of Music) Than less than a month, will be SYF Central Judging..During assembly, Mr Lim (Principal) talk to us about the 'O' level results.. When he showed us some articles, I was inspired and motivated.. especially by the 'N' level scorers.. I've got a feeling I will go to JC or Poly.. Provided I work hard.. I will work hard. To prove to my family, to prove to myself! Haha.. so motivated.. hehe.. Then, after school, went to canteen to have lunch.. Than I went to the NE Quiz... I passed the quiz... haizz but I was so stupid.. I didn't build more buildings to get more points (if you know what i mean) After that I went to choir... Sing sing sing....but I couldn't sing well, I was suffering from sore throat.. Oh well... Than when choir ends, our choir presidents went to lecture all of us, saying we used our handphones (some) Oh well.. we must at least get a silver for SYF! Haizz, I forgot my basics for algebra.. so I have to re-learn.. Oh well.. She's had alot of faith in me.. so I cannot let her down.. Than after remedial.. I went to the music centre to watch Sound of Music.. quite nice la.. after that, very late than reach home.. I felt so tired.. body cannot take it liao.. haizz.. Today, did all 3 tests... The geography test.. I think I may not do well.. because I mixed up the meaning of emigration and immigration... Than Design and technology.. I believe i do well for the first question but not the second question..Mr Lim (D&T) ask us to learn joints.. in the end never came out.. what the hell.. waste my precious time.. Tomorrow still got elective history and social studies..(I think so, it wasn't confirmed) I just revise them just in case.. Mrs Edison didn't confirm with us.. Than Mr Devan got say before but he didn't say the test was on friday..Tomorrow still got English spelling.. but.. nvm.. Today, kena scolded by Mr Liew again.. But this time, it didn't affect me much.. Than after choir, went to the canteen to have lunch.. After that, went to Miss Audrey Tan's home room to wait for her for Geography.. I've seen my test.. I got 18/25.. which is 72/100.. Kinda satisfied.. but I hope to do better..than my elective history test got 7/20.. very bad.. so I deciding to ask Mr Devan about the answers etc.. Tomorrow, I still got Geography, Chemistry and Design & Technology tests.. still got chinese spelling.. friday still got English spelling, Sound Of Music group, maths remedial and still need to find Mr Malvin Lim for the concert next friday.. WAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haizz want to find a decent day to play badminton also cannot.. all packed up liao.. What can I do? This year SYF, 'N' levels also... sometimes i think.. this materialistic world is so complicated.. Just a student and the hours involved is like a working adult.. Today, lessons as usual.. than during English lesson, we did our composition test.. I know I didn't do well. Gotta buck up already.. I realized the importance of 'N' level at the beginning of the year. I am aiming at least 3 A2s which is equilvalent to 6 points. This week is so busy.. I still got chinese composition test tomorrow, and D&T and chemistry test on thursday! Still got maths test coming.. Normal Acad and Express are soo busy sia.. i dunno about normal tech cuz i dun know them.. I still need to sing with a few choir members on friday to show Mr malvin lim the song.. concert starts next friday.. Than tomorrow still got choir auditions.. If I cannot make it, than forget about SYF.. I have to take care of my instrument. (My voice) Trying to memorise Potong Padi cuz I sometimes forget.. Argh.. So many things happening this week.. Today, as usual, I did all the work by myself.. than during P.E, it was a new teacher called Mr James Ng who teaches us badminton etc. Haizz.. it seems that the court with the actual badminton net can only be used by Kian Ray, Ji Cai, Ivan they all.. Haizz we all perhaps never get a chance to use ba.. Life's like that.. Oh well..Anyway, during English lesson, I received my composition marks. 23/30.. Even though I topped my class, I wasn't satisfied. I am not showing off or something, but Mr Malvin Lim already said we were not ready for 'N' level English Examination.. I topped my class at 4N2.. maybe not even top if I compare with 4N1? I've got to notch my standard of English.. argh.. Need to reach my target for English.. Life's not that simple in Singapore. Not simple. At all. Anyway, during choir, I heard from Lin Qun that alot of people failed their 'O' levels and were crying.. He himself got 19 points.. all B except D on A Maths.. So he go JC la.. See liao, also motivated.. must work hard le lor.. They say hard work pays off.. how true.. But there's composition test tomorrow, D&T and chemistry test on thursday. Than still got spelling this friday. I expect myself to get full marks ba.. Too pressurized and stressed. K la.. gotta stop here.. tomorrow still got composition test..
